Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-15
These Terms govern your purchase and use of OpusHub Studio. By installing, buying, or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. The software
OpusHub Studio is a local-first studio management application for music teachers, provided by OpusHub Studio (“OpusHub”, “we”, “us”), an independent developer based in Bulgaria. Our software is sold and payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. acting as our Merchant of Record. OpusHub Studio is available for Windows and Android, with other platforms on our roadmap.
2. License grant
Subject to these Terms and your active license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use OpusHub Studio for one teacher on their own devices, up to the device limit associated with your license (currently five personal devices).
- Subscription (monthly or annual): grants use for as long as the subscription is active and paid.
- Perpetual license: grants indefinite use of the version available during your included update period (12 months of updates), and continued use of the latest version received in that period afterward. An optional annual Updates & Support plan extends access to new versions and newly released features.
3. Free trial
New installs include a 30-day free trial with full access and no payment card required. When the trial ends without a license, the app enters a restricted state: you can still view, export, and back up your existing data, but new operational writes are disabled until you purchase a license.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the software;
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, device limits, or security;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software except as permitted by law;
- use the software unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights, including copyright in sheet music you do not have the right to store or share.
You are solely responsible for the data you enter, including personal data of students and their families, and for having a lawful basis to store it.
5. Billing, renewals, and price changes
Payments are handled by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices are shown in USD and may be displayed in your local currency at checkout, inclusive of applicable taxes. We may change prices; changes apply to renewals after reasonable notice, never retroactively to a term you have already paid for.
6. Intellectual property
OpusHub Studio, its name, logo, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you a license to use the software, not ownership of it. You retain all rights to the studio data and files you create and store.
7. Third-party services
Optional features may connect to third-party services (for example AI providers you configure with your own key, or external links such as YouTube and IMSLP). Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Disclaimers
The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of your studio data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Termination
You may stop using the software at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using the software; your ability to view and export your local data remains, as it lives on your own devices.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
